colorectal cancer can cause you diarrhea, this is damaging the body because the body lose a lot of fluids that can cause you Dehydration (which can be life threading if you don't treat it) , salts and minerals that you need because they control the amount of water that can stay in the body.(Mayo Clinic)

CONSTIPATION 

colorectal cancer can cause you constipation, this is damaging the body because the body is not able to get rid of the waste and the bad bacteria like it need to. when you try to push the stool, against your body you can make veins around the rectum and anus swell (called piles), they can itch and be painful, Internal and external bleeding when you have bowel movement, blood clots, infection and feeling pressure.6(webmed society)
